Photography Rental Studio, Brunswick

Monday, February 28th, 2011

Kreisler Studio is an affordable hire studio for photography and film productions in central Brunswick, Melbourne.

With off street parking, and roller door access, it is easy to bring equipment in and out of the building. If you wish to rent gear, we have both strobes and constant lighting sources available. Lighting stands and auto poles for backgrounds are bundled with studio rental at no extra charge. There is a hair/makeup area, and a change room, too.

The dimensions of the space are: 6.5m (Wide) x 13.5m (Long) x 4m (High). This represents a long shooting area for full length shots, with plenty of separation from the background. Lights can be spread wide, as well, since the width stretches up to 8 metres.

Prices are $200 for a half day (4 hours), and $325 for a full day (8 hours). Overtime is charged at $50 per hour. Payment is due on the day of hire.

David Osborne, Violinist

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

The b&w feature photo on our home page is a portrait of Melbourne classical musician, David Osborne, who leads the Raga Dolls Salon Orchestra.

I am very happy with the photo. I lit David carefully with four light heads, including a Profoto grid for the face. I remain grateful to my close friend, and fellow photographer, Denis Montalbetti, for teaching me this technique.

Below is a further shot from the session, taken on location at my local cafe, Paloma

Pat Grant and Bolton Blue

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

Brunswick artist, Pat Grant, has recently launched his online comic, entitled Blue. It is really fabulous, and also showcases a slightly different approach to presenting work online.

This picture of Pat was taken at his studio in Leslie St last year.

I encourage you to have a look at Blue:
